Toradora - Episode 1 Anime Review -

Toradora

Toradora is a really cute love story.
Its about how you should not judge someones appearance, because they might actually be a very great person.
It has 25 episodes, and is completed.
The author of the manga is Yuyuko Takemiya.

The main character is Ryuji takasu, and Taiga Aisaku, and the main supporting characters are Yusaku, Ami, and Minori Kushieda.

Ryuji Takasu, is in the beginning of the series, a junior in high school.
He is known for his unusual sharp glare, but his eyes are naturally like that. People mistaken him for delinquent because of his looks and the feeling of a scary aura. Because of this, he those not have many friends except for Yusaku, a popular smart guy.
Besides his appearance, Ryuji is a very sweet and determined person, and is obsessed with cleaning everything. Literally obsessed.
He lives in a small molding japanese style house with his mother, (who is some sort of hostess) but recently, a big apartment building was built on the side, blocking the light of the sun 9which is the cause for the moldiness)

Ryuji has a crush on a girl on a girl in his school called Minori, who is not afraid to talk to him.
On the first day of his second year of high school, he runs into a small girl called Taiga Aisaku, who is nicknamed "The Palm-Top Tiger", due to her furious talents in attacking.
Even though she is so tiny, she is the most feared girl in the whole school.
He and "The Palm_Top Tiger become enemies.

Ryuji finds a love letter that is supposed to go to his friend Yusaku. The letter ends up being from Taiga. Who gets very embarrassed.

After a series of events, he discovers that Taiga lives in the apartment building next to his house, and her apartment window faces his house.

Taiga attacks Ryuji and tells him that she will kill him because he saw her love letter.
To stop his "death", he shares his darkest secret, and tells her about his crush Minori and his secret collection.
It just so happens that Taiga is best friends with Minori, and Ryuji best freinds with yusaku, and to seal the deal that they wont spill each others secret, Taiga promises to get him together with Minori if he gets her with Yusaku.
And also with this deal, Taiga also makes Ryuji her servant.

When I was 12, I was going through my personal great depression.

My escape was... anime.

At the time, my brothers and I were into Pokemon, so I started watching the Tv Show.

In the begging I did not know that Pokemon was called anime.

One day I was watching Pokemon on YouTube (I think I was around episode 258), and I saw in the suggestion videos, something called Sailor Moon. 

I clicked it, and It said, "Sailor Moon episode 1".

I got hooked. I watched all 200 episodes. I found my new passion.

Watching anime.

At first, I only watched the anime genre called 'magical girl", and big eyed, romance series.

Tokyo Mew Mew power, Mermaid Melody, Maid-sama, Special A, Ouran highschool Host club, Toradora, SHugo Chara, stuff like that.

I liked watching stuff I lacked, like romance.

I then started watching shows like fairy Tail, Bleach, Naruto, and less cheesy romances like Skip Beat, Glass mask, La Cordo D'Oro, Hanasaku iroha,Vampire Knight, Vampire Knight Guilty, Boys Over Flowers, Marmalade Boy, Angel Beats and MUUUCCCHHHH more.

I started watching anime which was a bit more mature, tragic and dramatic like, blue Exorcist, Hakuki Reimeiroku, Escaflown, Death Note.

Also comedic, Lucky Star, Gintima, Beelzebub, Sket-dance.

I've also seen some weird anime. on accident of course.

These days I've watched, Higurashi, my little Monster, Say I love You, Recorder and Ramsel, Inu x Boku, and blood +.

Through anime I discovered Korean dramas, and don't get me started with that.

Its been only two years and I've watched over 100 different anime series, completed at least 60 of them.

I tell you, its a drug for me.

Finally after about 2 years, I have some friends to talk about anime. In the beginning, anime was my secret retreat that no one knew about. I would only watch anime on my iPod touch, and on the computer when I was alone, or watch it secretly on the computer at night, and would read the subtitles while it was on mute.

Not to long ago, my brothers got into anime.

Oops.

Thats when I really became a nerd... or geek? No an otaku.Don't know.
